Instrument Rating

Instrument Rating

When joining the club, I also discovered that the club has CFIs who are willing to teach students. I wish I had known that earlier and I could have trained with them for my license at a much lower cost. Now, I decided I wanted to get my Instrument Rating with the help of the CFI at the club. I joined the club in June 2023, and by the end of August, I had already started my lessons on Instrument Rating.

The Instrument Rating involves learning how to trust the instruments in the plane when you have no visibility outside. This allows the pilot to fly in clouds, while in communication with Air Traffic Control (ATC). The conditions when there is low visibility is called Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). All maneuvers by the pilot are solely done by reference of instruments, which include flying straight and level, turns without losing altitude and takeoff and landing in low visibility conditions.

While I continued my Instrument Rating training, I made frequent trips to different cities as well as the usual sightseeing of Minnesota in different climates.

I’m Zef

Hey there, fellow aviation enthusiasts! I’m thrilled to welcome you to my corner of the internet where the sky is not the limit—it’s just the beginning.

As a skydiver, wingsuiter, and pilot, I’ve made it my mission to live life above the clouds. Whether I’m freefalling, soaring through the air in a wingsuit, or piloting an aircraft, the thrill of flight is my constant companion.

Blue skies and tailwinds.
