Flight to Chicago (06C) again!

During the winter months, I had been focused on getting my Instrument Rating training. We had not been travelling by private plane in some time. As it turned out, we had a meeting come up in Chicago that we both needed to attend. I used that opportunity to fly out to the same Schaumburg airport we had been to previously.

As our meeting was on a Monday, we flew to Chicago on the Sunday afternoon prior and stayed at Hyatt Centric located on Magnificent Mile in downtown. I had called the FBO a couple of days earlier, and they had arranged a rental car for us and pulled it up to the tarmac while I checked in.

Since we had left late morning from Crystal (around 11:30am), we were in Chicago in time for lunch. Revv Aviation at the airport was very efficient and had us on the way within a few minutes. We headed into the city to grab a quick lunch and then went to hang out at the hotel.

The following day, we attended our meeting in Chicago and were busy getting some office work wrapped up. I had been following the weather closely and it looked like there might be some clouds which may hamper our departure. Fortunately, that was not the case and the clouds dissipated by afternoon. We headed to the airport and returned our car. The FBO had not filled up fuel by the time we arrived and we had to wait a few minutes until the fuel truck arrived. I used that time to preflight the plane and get us ready to go. While we waited, we got to see a beautiful sunset at the airport.

After everything was done, we took off from Chicago back to Crystal. Once again, we got to see some great views of the night lights of cities in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
